Markus Blunder is an internationally acclaimed advertising director and photographer. Fresh out of high school, Markus followed his childhood dream and started with an internship at the original home of ARRI Camera, based in Munich. After producing and directing several short Films, of which two won Silver and Bronze at the Houston World Fest, Markus was invited to join David Fincher's famed Propaganda Films in Hollywood. There he won several awards for his work on over 40 music videos featuring famous artists like En Vogue, Des'ree, Freddy Jackson, Marc Cohn, Metallica, Slayer, Richard Marx, Texas and Shania Twain. Following his success in music videos Markus segued into the world of commercials and quickly established himself - according to the Cannes issue of 'Campaign Magazine' as "one of the world's hottest new directors". Markus has directed award winning global campaign spots for a wide range of prestigious clients including Lexus, Samsung Mobil Phones, Mercedes, American Express, Nintendo, Mitsubishi, Bank of China, T-Online and Audi. His two films for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics bid supported Russia's final win. Markus also co-founded Kombat Films in Rio de Janeiro, which has grown into a successful commercial production house since then. In 2013 Markus has completed Post-production for his first full-length feature film entitled Autumn Blood. At the Cannes Film Festival 2013 a US Canadian Distributor acquired Autumn Blood with plans for a North American theatrical release by early 2014. High in the Mountains on a secluded farm a widowed mother dies leaving her two children alone and orphaned. Fearing being taken away and split up they keep their mother's death a secret and survive off the land with no one to rely on but each other. The sixteen year old sister is one with nature, innocent, and unaware of the evils that exist in mankind. Her ten year old brother is traumatized and mute from witnessing a disturbing incident years earlier (the death of his father) involving the town's Mayor. As the girl transitions into womanhood a harsh brutality destroys her innocence when savage hunters led by the Mayor's son attack and rape her. A social worker from a distant city arrives to investigate but ultimately it is the siblings who must come of age to protect each other and survive.
